Truegauge support

Truegauge shows live CPU, memory, storage, network, battery and thermal readings for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, with a toolbox of 18 tools on iPhone.

Contact: hemalmodi3@gmail.com. I read every message, and I usually reply within two working days. If you can, include your device model, the OS version and the Truegauge version (Settings, About).

Common questions

Why does Truegauge show a thermal level and not a temperature in degrees?

iOS does not let any app read the phone's real sensor temperature. Other apps that show degrees on iPhone are estimating. Truegauge shows what iOS reports (Nominal, Fair, Serious, Critical) and how long your phone has spent at each level. On Mac the app reads real battery data from the hardware, including the battery's own temperature.

What does "Estimated" mean next to a number?

Some values, such as charging watts and iPhone battery health, cannot be read directly. Truegauge calculates them and labels them with a range and a note on how it works it out.

What is in Pro, and is it a subscription?

Pro is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription and nothing renews. It unlocks Live Activity extras, SSH, charging history and more widgets, plus the floating panel on Mac. The live dashboard and every core reading are free.

How do I restore Pro on a new device?

Open Settings, then "See what's in Pro", then Restore Purchases. Use the Apple ID that bought it. Family Sharing is on, so family members can use it too.

How do I refund a purchase?

Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in and choose the purchase.

The widget or Live Activity is not updating.

iOS decides how often widgets refresh. Open the app once, check that Low Power Mode is off, and set the Live Activity refresh rate in Settings. On Apple Watch, open the app once to refresh the last iPhone reading.

Ping or SSH cannot find my device.

Check that your phone is on the same network, and allow Local Network access for Truegauge in Settings. For SSH, check the host, port and username, and that the server allows password or key login.

Compass, decibel meter or QR scanner does not work.

Open Settings, Truegauge, and check that Location, Microphone or Camera is allowed. A Mac without a camera cannot scan QR codes.

Does Truegauge collect my data?

No. See the privacy policy.
