Glovework privacy policy

Glovework is a boxing round timer and punch counter for Apple Watch, with a companion app on iPhone. This policy says what the app does with your information. The short version: we do not collect it.
What the app uses
- Wrist motion. During a round the watch reads its motion sensors (Motion access) to count and time the punches thrown with the hand wearing the watch. The readings are processed on the watch. Raw sensor data is not sent to us or anyone else.
- Heart rate and active energy. The watch reads your heart rate and active energy through Apple Health (HealthKit) so it can show them in the session summary and save the session as a Boxing workout in Health. These values are stored only on your own devices. They are not sent to iCloud, to us or to anyone else, and they are never used for advertising or sold.
- Session history. Rounds, punch counts, speeds and your round plan are stored on your devices. If you are signed in to iCloud, this history syncs between your own devices through your private iCloud (Apple CloudKit). It lives in your iCloud account. We cannot see it. Heart rate and energy are not part of what syncs.
- Camera and microphone (Record yourself). The phone camera and microphone are used only while you record a clip. The clip is made on your phone, with your watch numbers drawn onto it on the device. Nothing is uploaded. A clip is saved only if you tap Save to Photos, which needs add-only Photos access.
- Game Center boards (Glovework Pro). If you use the boards, your scores go to Apple's Game Center under your Game Center account and are handled by Apple. We do not run a server and never see them. Gym challenges are shared through CloudKit sharing in your own iCloud; the only text shared is the gym name you type. Glovework does not use your location.
- Purchases. Glovework is free. Glovework Pro is an optional one-time purchase handled by Apple (StoreKit). We never see your payment details. With Family Sharing, Apple shares the purchase with your family group.
- Siri, Spotlight, widgets and Live Activities. Session names and numbers may be indexed on your device so Siri, Spotlight, widgets and Live Activities can show them. This stays on your device.
- Share cards and CSV export. These are created on your device. They go only where you choose to send them.
What we do not do
We do not collect personal data. We have no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs. We do not sell or share data. Glovework does not give medical advice, and it never reports punch force.
Your choices
You can turn off Health or Motion access for Glovework in Settings (the watch then counts nothing, or saves without heart rate). You can delete any session in the app, and delete all data by deleting the app and removing its iCloud data in Settings > your name > iCloud > Manage Storage. Heart rate in Health is yours to manage in the Health app. CSV export (Pro) lets you take your history with you.
Children
Glovework is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone. Game Center boards follow Apple's rules for young accounts.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here and update the date above.
